Dietitians and nutritionists: Help us make food better

Here at Epogee, we’re all about helping food manufacturers create products that are tasty and healthy. As such, we’re keenly interested in how consumers and industry professionals view fat as a part of the overall nutrition and health landscape. We’re starting our research with a survey of nutritionists and dieticians, and we’re hoping you (or someone you know) can help.

Participants will complete a phone interview about 40 minutes to share their and their clients’ attitudes towards fat and the related calories, plus any gaps or opportunities they see in the food industry for healthy, low-fat and low-calorie products. As a thank you, each participant will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

Any insights we share publicly will remain anonymous, but we’ll use them to help spark thoughtful conversations and create positive change among major food manufacturers and the industry at large. Some of the questions may include:

  • What is your overall view of fat in diet/nutrition?
  • How do your clients view dietary fat? Good? Bad? Neutral?
  • How can lower fat and saturated fat products work in the plans you recommend to your clients?

About Epogee

At Epogee, we’re on a mission to make food better. Our fat alternative, EPG improves the nutritional profile of foods by reducing calories from fat and saturated fat without compromising the taste and texture that consumers love. Made from plant-based oil, EPG can replace up to 80% of fat in a formulation and reduce fat calories by 92% for each unit of fat replaced.

EPG is a clean and safe ingredient, backed by more than $150 million in R&D, 65 safety studies and 20 patents. Unlike other alternative fats that can cause digestive side effects, EPG has been evaluated at intake levels up to 150 grams/day consumption. Using technology that resists digestive enzyme action, calories are controlled and released through the key part of digestion, without depleting fat-soluble vitamins in the body or limiting their absorption.

With your help to learn more about professional and consumer attitudes toward fat, we can help food manufacturers better formulate foods for a healthier (and happier) world.

To participate in the survey, please email Marian Temesvary at mtemesvary@epogee.com. Be sure to include your name, contact information, company and professional credentials as a registered dietitian or nutritionist.
